PlanXdesign cre­ated this web­site for Kashi Kollect­ive, a world­wide group of musi­cians and musical pro­du­cers who wanted a site to present them as a group of artists who use an eco-studio for musical record­ings and arrange­ments. They also required an integ­rated e-commerce solu­tion for selling their music as a down­load and CD.

Kashi made their own digital sketch for the web­site, of which we derived 3 tem­plates of vary­ing col­our. We also vec­tor­ised a sketch that Kashi gave us of their logo, we then developed it fur­ther into an orna­ment, which is used in the header and footer of the web­site. We also adjus­ted the look of the side menu using a font chosen by Kashi.

Each tem­plate has its own bank of back­ground melod­ies and a slide show of illus­trat­ive pho­to­graphs. The col­our of the text for each theme has been chosen from the back­ground image, keep­ing the same hue and adjust­ing its light­ness to make it easy to read.

PlanXdesign cre­ated Lilian Simonsson’s web­site using an eleg­ant min­imal design, a sans serif font and one of her own pho­to­graphs on her home page. The web­site is for her port­fo­lio of film and art work. We com­pleted sev­eral design tem­plates before strip­ping the design right back, on her request, to achieve a simple look where her work stands out. This site is a CMS solu­tion, there­fore Lilian is able to upload her films, pho­to­graphs and text her­self and it has an integ­rated easy-to-use gal­lery solution.
