Professional Web Design

It’s almost limitless, what you can do with a website these days and the internet has been around long enough now to show us, what really works for usability and the search engines alike. In planXdesign, we like straight forward interfaces, simple yet eye-catching front and back end navigation and images you can easily enlarge and flick thru. It’s also the little things, like quiet websites that you can choose whether to listen to the music or not and whether your personal preference is to click or scroll through a site? There are some cutting edge solutions around for all budgets and criteria. Choose a set of static pages or a CMS system, which is a website you can update yourself and can be used for almost anything, with thousands of widgets, plug-ins and themes available.

Planning Stage

All good websites come from a good plan. If you want to create a good and solid website, you need a good and solid plan. We  know it’s hard to do but if need a hand, you could start by thinking about answering the following 6 basic questions.

On a piece of notebook paper, or whatever is lying around, describe your site. Take five to twenty minutes to come up with a purpose for your site, or better yet, call it your Mission Statement.

Answer the following questions:

  1. What am I going to do with this?
  2. Who is going to read this?
  3. What kinds of information will I be posting?
  4. Why am I doing this?
  5. Who am I doing this for?
  6. How often am I going to be updating and adding information?
