We worked closely with Eliza­beths brand design team in Lon­don We Are Human Lon­don to co-create her web­site. Lon­don We Are Human Lon­don did the think­ing and we recom­men­ded the par­ental tem­plate for the web design and did the cod­ing, adding our own little touches of magic to enhance the user exper­i­ence. We used CSS3 trans­ition effect to give it a softer feel, the but­tons change col­our through a trans­ition when you click them and thus mak­ing them more user friendly.

Angus Watt is an inter­na­tion­ally acclaimed fine artist who com­mis­sioned Planxdesign to improve his online pres­ence. We advised him on using social media, twit­ter, FB and Google for rais­ing his pro­file on searches. We designed and coded him a web­site which reflec­ted his own ori­ginal design and which is mod­ern and user friendly.

Karo­lina Faulds needed a com­plete redesign and update of her exist­ing web­site — http://​www​.kar​odesigns​.com. We did this imple­ment­ing latest tech­no­logy such as HTML5 and CSS3. We changed the struc­ture and used the Light­box gal­lery plug in, to improve her users’ exper­i­ence when surf­ing through her design portfolio.

James is a very tal­en­ted pho­to­grapher and we, the graphic design­ers at planXdesign, were very excited when he asked us to cre­ate his online port­fo­lio. His pho­to­graphs speak for them­selves, they tell stor­ies and bring you into the very moment they were taken. It was an obvi­ous choice, to give the images as much view­ing space as pos­sible. We knew the design would have to be easy to nav­ig­ate and minimal.

Love2cre​ate​.org is a word­press web­site that has been designed from scratch for Kim Henry who is a busy per­former, writer and course leader. Kim needed a web­site that would be easy to update her­self and cap­able of being inter­act­ive with vis­it­ors, so that mem­bers of her writ­ing groups can post their own stor­ies and dis­cuss each oth­ers work there. The web­site con­sol­id­ates Kim’s vari­ous tal­ents into one place, as she com­bines dance, express­ive move­ment, theatre tech­niques, writ­ing and voice work in dif­fer­ent ways, to offer her cli­ents a full spec­trum of what she can do for them.

PlanXdesign cre­ated these web­sites from scratch, design­ing five sim­ilar tem­plates, each with it’s own col­our scheme, a slightly dif­fer­ent repeat­ing back­ground image and her logo (which we designed) in the header. As a multi media artist Miss Plun­kett wanted some­thing clean, crisp and clear to present her dif­fer­ent dis­cip­lines in a uni­fied way, so we opted for using col­our for the links and boxes, over white. These web­sites are CMS sys­tems which auto­mat­ic­ally post new posts to twit­ter and is con­nec­ted to Mailchimp news­let­ter solution.

PlanXdesign cre­ated this web­site for Kashi Kollect­ive, a world­wide group of musi­cians and musical pro­du­cers who wanted a site to present them as a group of artists who use an eco-studio for musical record­ings and arrange­ments. They also required an integ­rated e-commerce solu­tion for selling their music as a down­load and CD.

Kashi made their own digital sketch for the web­site, of which we derived 3 tem­plates of vary­ing col­our. We also vec­tor­ised a sketch that Kashi gave us of their logo, we then developed it fur­ther into an orna­ment, which is used in the header and footer of the web­site. We also adjus­ted the look of the side menu using a font chosen by Kashi.

Each tem­plate has its own bank of back­ground melod­ies and a slide show of illus­trat­ive pho­to­graphs. The col­our of the text for each theme has been chosen from the back­ground image, keep­ing the same hue and adjust­ing its light­ness to make it easy to read.

PlanXdesign cre­ated Lilian Simonsson’s web­site using an eleg­ant min­imal design, a sans serif font and one of her own pho­to­graphs on her home page. The web­site is for her port­fo­lio of film and art work. We com­pleted sev­eral design tem­plates before strip­ping the design right back, on her request, to achieve a simple look where her work stands out. This site is a CMS solu­tion, there­fore Lilian is able to upload her films, pho­to­graphs and text her­self and it has an integ­rated easy-to-use gal­lery solution.

The Irish book pub­lish­ing com­pany asked us to tidy up code of their web site. The web­site has been admin­is­trated by sev­eral dif­fer­ent per­sons, with big­ger or smal­ler know­ledge of HTML/CSS cod­ing. As a res­ult each page looked a little bit dif­fer­ent. Fish asked us to unify the look of the web site and get a bet­ter organic rank with search engines, mainly with Google.

Mark Video is a light­ing designer, video pro­jec­tion­ist and makes music videos. There are a lot of well known artists among his clients.

Once again we used a WP engine as a CMS, provid­ing the cli­ent with the pos­sib­il­ity to man­age the con­tent him­self. The con­tent of his pages include text, pho­tos and videos. It has been decided not to rely on a 3^rd party video host but to store the videos and stream them straight off Mark’s web­site. That gives Mark full con­trol over his videos and the time to upload each video file is much shorter than with You­tube or Vimeo.
